Strange random text

Me and my friend were playing on our server when a wierd message popped up in the chat the 

message said: Incoming transmission . . . ... Alpha two bravo six niner Do you copy...over.. ... This is the captain of the exploration crew. ... Inbound with package . . .  . . . ETA 7/20, prep the portal. . .  . . .  . . . ... End transmission

I looked it up on google and there were no results so if anyone knows what this is or what it means please tell me.

note: the only people in the server is me and my friend

hey that happened to us too, the same exact message, the only difference is that we're in 3 but still. we have no idea what that means though

Everyone gets this message around every 5-10 minutes it has something to do with a Update most likely. The 7/20 is probably the date of the update release

 There were alot of these moving letters, don't know how to write them but yeah, no idea what this means

We must put the messages together, it may mean something.

Notice how it says "..."

And sometimes has "Do you copy" or "Over".
Intentional?

Also, bump. We need to figure this out.

this happened to me and my friend a looked it up and found a reddit submission and it turns out its an ad

I got it too it kinda creeped me out for a bit because I was on the server alone

I had a similar thing. I left and rejoined for other reasons and I don't have screenshots - this one didn't have a date though, it just said about some people I think.
