1.17 Update error

When I update my server to either paper or spigot 1.17 and try to start the server, it eventually has an error: "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java Heap Space", and when the error occurs the server gets stuck on "stopping" for quite a while.

as for plugins the server has multiverse, multiverse portals, and multiverse inventories. 

Unsure how to proceed, I don't know what could be causing a memory error consistently like that

I would assume you can't access your panel as the server is stopping. But if you can please attempt the following:

1.) Go to the Danger Zone tab.

2.) Press Repair files 

3.) Restart your server.

 

If this did not work I would suggest contacting the Minehut support team where an Agent will get back to you!

Hey, your server ran out of RAM. Do you have too many worlds on your server?
Having too many worlds might cause a problem, since your server doesn't have enough RAM to load them.

On the other hand, keep in mind that a 1.17 server consumes a bit more RAM than a 1.16 server.
