friend cant join despite being whitelisted?

I hae whitelist on my sever so i whitelisted some of my friends however one of them still cant join. I've checked the list several times and he is there. He recently changed his name if that helps. It's working for everyone else and he can only join if I turn whitelist off. Please help

Make sure you whitelist him properly, /whitelist add <player>. If he still can't join, maybe just un-whitelist the server when he wants to join and whitelist it back when he is in the server. You can also easily make a skript for it but I don't think you have skript installed as it is most likely an SMP server for you and your friends. Hope this helps.
