I cant join minehut with 1.16.5 even though it was fine before 1.17 came out

i have no idea what is the problem at all can someone please help i can join with 1.17 normally and fine but i cant with 1.16.5 even thought it was working fine before 1.17 came out and whenever i try to join it says authenticator servers are currently down for maintenance

Minehut servers are still on 1.16.5 so thats weird. Try restarting your game again and then try 1.16.5.
