The economy features were rewritten which is causing a few lingering issues with other plugins. It will be updated as soon as it's deemed stable enough. I have temporarily removed the update checker so you will no longer be bothered about it for the time being. Please keep in mind that there is also the essentials.updatecheck permission which you can also use to disable this for your server in the future.
