This plugin helps fix issues with 1.8 gameplay on a 1.9+ server such as ladders not working and some sounds not playing when they should.

This plugin does not support version 1.16, so it won't be possible to add it onto minehut. If you know of any alternative plugins which work for newer versions [must include v1.16], please send the link to that.

Although not listed, VRLS does support 1.16. You can check it out yourself, there’s also plenty of people on the Viaver discord who are using it on 1.16 with no issues

Thanks for clarifying. This sounds like a useful plugin for servers using ViaVersion/Rewind, so I'll look into getting it added soon.
