SMP turning off explosions

So i have an SMP with friends in survival and we like to play with creeper explosions off BUT if we turn it off with /gamerule it means we cant breed villigers. I was wondering if there is any other way to prevent creeper explosions like a plugin or something is settings,

You could use a plugin called Skript to disable creeper explosions. First download the plugin called skript and restart the server. Then navigate to the file manager then go to plugins > skript > scripts. Then in the scripts folder, make a file called like like creeper.sk. It can be called anything but just has to end in .sk. Then in that file, paste the following:

on explode:
  if event-entity is a creeper:
    cancel event

Then click save and close out of the file. Then in game do /sk reload creeper, or whatever you named the file. I Haven't tested it but it should disable creeper explosions.

they said they did do that but that also interferes with villagers and they don't want that to happen.
