Server wont let anyone on

Me and my friends have a Minecraft server and it started to lag like crazy one night and no one can access it now and when someone try's to join the error message that it cannot connect to the server or the fallback server, please try again later with the error code: io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException

An error like that usually comes up when the server you are trying to join isn't fully up yet or recently went offline. Make sure the server status on the panel says "online" before joining. Or try checking your server logs there to see if it shows any errors when you try and join.

The server says it's on despite no one being on the server for hours and even when it was manually turned off, but i'll try and see if there was anything in the error log

Try force hibernating the server through the danger zone tab on the panel. That should force your server into hibernation.
