How to clear dropped items?

Yeah i kinda messed up.. i gave one of my friends 999999 water buckets. You know it kinda crashed the server. We have tried it before and it usually doesnt take to long to fix it self but this time it just aint working. everytime we join even a day later the chunks doesnt load, It crashes after two seconds. We have tried with commands block to fix it and it just doesnt work. Me and all of my friends play on that server everyday and we dont want the server to be ruined forever. We have tried to restart, Go back to backup but nothing seems to work. Does someone have any ideas to how to fix this?

Hello! Access your server dashboard, start your server, and execute the command:

/minecraft:kill @e[type=minecraft:item]

Please do this before logging on to the server, and as soon as possible as the server starts.

 

In the future, avoid testing the boundaries of your server, unless you're willing to completely reset it.

Got the same problem with a few billion fireworks... the command above me doesn't work.

Have you tried getting the clearlag plugin then typing /clearlag?

Without joining, start it then go on the console and spam /minecraft:kill @e[type=firework_rocket]
