How to transfer worlds

Downloading your realms world

Uploading your world to the server

Now that you’ve downloaded your world, we can move onto uploading it to the server:

  1. Open up your file manager of choice (Finder, File Explorer, File Manager, etc.)

  2. Navigate to your Minecraft folder, you can see the locations of the folder below:

Windows %appdata%/.minecraft

MacOS ~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft

Linux ~/.minecraft

  1. Open up the folder named saves, this folder contains all the worlds you’ve created, including the realms world you downloaded.

  2. Find the realms world (the name of the folder will be the name of the realm), and put it in a .zip file, then upload the zip to a file hosting service like file.io or Dropbox. If you’re unsure how to upload your world, you can learn more about it here.

  3. Once you’ve uploaded your world to your file hosting service of choice, go in game and run /ul world (name of world, must not include spaces or any other special characters) (the link the file hosting service gave you) (note this command requires op to run.)

  4. If all goes according to plan, your world will have successfully been uploaded, and you can find it by running /worlds.
