can't put a specific file in the datapack folder

I'm trying to add sethbling's random loot table data pack and I can't add the file that makes the data pack work, namely the randomize.py file. is there a way I can add this file, or do I have to find a different data pack?

(every time I try to add the file, it says "cannot sanitize file name". also, I know how to install data packs in my server and this is like the one thing I can't add)

edit: if the randomize.py file isn't needed, please tell me

randomize.py is a python file. I don't know what it does but I found something on reddit
