so i would have happen to give my friend op and we were messing arround and he set the tick speed to 999999 and broke the game and cant set it back and dont have any backups what do i do my friend wont be happy about reseting the server

Hey there.

You can fix this with 2 ways.

First of all, check your level name (This can be found under Settings tab of your server).

 

Method 1

-> Let your server stop/crash first.

-> Start it back up with console.

-> Once it shows online, do not join the server.

-> Run command "gamerule randomTickSpeed 3" atleast 3 times from console.

-> You should then be able to join your server (Or the next time the server boots up).

 

Method 2

-> Go to File Manager and look for folder named after "world". (or your level name)

-> Dive in the folder and delete the file level.dat. (Note that this will reset all gamerules)

-> Restart your server and it should be fine.
