Server keeps wiping/resetting itself?

_BadDog_

Question

I started a new server a few days ago to play with a friend. We did a lot the first day I made it, and he put more hours in after I had left, but when I logged on it was completely wiped with a new respawn point. I had lost all my items, my levels etc and it was a new world. When he got a chance to log on, it was the same for him. I hoped it was just a bug, but we went on and put in a good 8 hours+ yesterday again and I just logged on to find that the very same thing has happened again. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Hello! Could you run /worlds on the server to verify that you haven't been teleported to another world? In the case that the server is 100% reset, I would suggest using the backups system as it's saves your server every hour.

I'm just a known player who been playing since the 24 July 2019.

Thanks for the reply!

Okay, so I did it and it came up with 3 different worlds:

The one just called "The world" is the first one that we lost! It's also the only one our of them that actually worked when I tried to teleport. How do I set that as the default or get rid of the other worlds? Sorry, I'm totally new to using MineHut 😞

Edit: Also, my level is still at 0 and inventory items are gone. Is it possible to get those back or will I just have to start over in that regard?

Minecraft has issues with world with spaces in spaces in their name so unless you find a way to remove the space from the world, you are gonna have to restart from fresh.

In regards to setting the default world, you can do that by going to panel > edit server > settings then edit the third box. This box should be named "Level Name", type in the world you wanna teleport to on join and restart your server.

Also, to delete worlds, you can go to panel > edit server > file manager then click the bin icon, this will allow you to select the folder/worlds you want to delete so after you click on the bin icon, click on the folder/worlds you wanna delete and then restart (deleting a default world will make it regen).

If you need more assistance, please let me know within a month and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
