"Book Too Large" Issue

Me and a friend have been using a dupe on another friends server, messing with him and duping items that he only made one of (Custom items, dragon egg etc.) When we tried using the dupe, we crashed and got the message "Book Too Large". Is there anyway past this? Or is this minehut's patch to this?
