Server won't start up

I was minding my own business in a server when it started lagging, all my friends were lagging so we disconnected, when we joined back it was still laggy. After a bit we all just crashed. We are not able to join, it keeps saying ReadTimeoutException : null. Does anyone know how to fix this or do I have to wait a bit.
