how to set owner?

so i just started my own server and i want to make a rank called owner... so i did but no matter what i do i cant apply myself to that group/rank

First of all, you'll need to install a plugin that provides the ability to setup a ranking system with permissions, prefixes and suffixes. There are many on Minehut available for use. If it's a very well known plugin, you can probably search up a tutorial on the internet on how exactly to manage and use that particular plugin. This is as simple as I can make it.
