keepInventory keeps turning on and off

Me and my friends are playing on a minehut server. We turned on keepInventory with the command, shortly after activating the keepInventory command it works for a select time. But after about some 30 minutes the rule is no longer in effect and you can lose your items again.

Could someone tell me how to actually turn on keepInventory permanently?

Does it get disabled again in the same world? Make sure you did exactly /gamerule keepInventory true because it is case sensitive. And it is per world so you would have to do it in all the worlds on your server.

I killed my friend in the overworld and he kept his stuff, then after that, another one of my friends killed himself in the overworld by jumping off a cobblestone pillar he built and kept his items after that. Then a little later after that, the same friend got stuck in lava at the overworld and couldn't swim out of it because it kept rubberbanding him back into the lava, so he died and lost all of his items. KeepInventory was on and we could tell it was on because of the times we died before, yet he still lost all of his items.

Does your server have any plugins or skripts that may be causing this? Not sure why that is happening.

Nope, no plugins.

Im having the same issue here too. Except I do have plugins. Would someone be able to tell me which of these are causing the issue if thats the case and how to override it? I tried to place a command block and type in the /gamerule command but that did not work either.
