how do i make a npc say something only once

Hi everyone, I was my server to create a story, I was customizing an npc, this npc has to give a map with a presentation of the character first, but every time I click on it, it gives me the map back. how do i get the map only once? thank you so much

What you could do is check if the player has a map and if they don’t have it give it to them. To do that you just need to add a condition (example: player has a stone shovel)
