I can do everything normal outside my house but i can't do anything inside. Any way to fix this?

What do you mean? You need to explain more on what the issue is. Like you have a build and you can't do anything inside it but you can break and place stuff outside of it?

Are you near spawn? Because there is spawn protection. Or there might be a plugin on the server that may be causing that. With worldguard, you can use it to protect certain regions and stuff. Or some sort of claiming plugin. Which may be why you can only do stuff in some places. Your friend is probably opped so he bypasses these restrictions.
