only four biomes?

so i created a server to play with my friends and it's been great, but the only problem is our world seems to only have a few biomes (taiga, swamp, birch forest, oak forest, plains, ice spikes, hills). we need to find a desert and it's been very annoying seeing those all the time. i was just wondering if anyone else has this problem? is it because of minehut or did we just get a bad seed? thanks!

The seed might just be bad. If you really wanted, you can do /seed to get the seed and put it in a seed map site. Or you can also use the locatebiome command to find a biome you want.
