chunk glitch

So on me and my friend's server, we've discovered this chunk issue. My brother left the server two days ago in his base, and when he spawned back in the next morning he couldn't interact with anything in the chunk. He couldn't place a block or open a chest or break blocks or open doors or anything. Well, he said it fixed after he had disconnected for a while after dying. Today, I log on in my base and the same issue happens to me. I did the same thing he did and it's still broken. 

This also has happened in one other server I made, but it didn't bother me as it was in a random chunk and it wasn't where the rest of us lived. 

Has this happened to anyone else? And is there a solution to this? And possibly what to do to keep it from happening?

What plugins do you have on the server? The first time it happened, did it only happen to your brother?

we don't have any plugins. when it happened to my brother, i think only my brother was affected by it but i could be wrong. but this time three out of the four players on here couldn't interact with anything in my base, only the owner could. it was strange.

Is this happening to everyone on the server or just you. Also everywhere on the server or only in a specific area?

it's happening to everyone except the owner for some reason, and it's only in two chunks (which are where my base is and my chest storage is so i essentially only have what's in my inventory now as i cannot access anything in my chests.)

Is the owner the only one opped? If the server has no plugins, I'm really not sure why its doing that. Maybe google about the issue to see if anyone else has had that problem and see if there is a solution.

So, apparently I needed to be OPed and then de-oped for it to work. Thank you for asking that, though! Wouldn't have tested it if you hadn't mentioned it

Oh ok nice. That was a weird issue. Not sure why that happened.
