This just means the launcher can be 1.16

no I just logged on in 1.16 and it was a new world with a new seed. in the file manager i noticed that there is a new world file but the old one is still there. deleting the new one might fix it but idk how

Minehut will update once Paper Spigot and most major plugins have updated to support the new 1.16 update. In order to connect to a playerserver via 1.16, the playerserver must have ViaVersion installed. This doesn't mean that 1.16 features are enabled on that playerserver. 1.16 features (blocks, mobs, terrain, etc.) are not enabled nor accessible at this time on Minehut. They have predicted roughly a week or two until Minehut updates.

Minehut is NOT 1.16, you can just connect. Worlds are known to randomly reset unfortunately. I suggest you backup your world regularly via downloading it with /dl world (worldname) or a world downloader mod.

ok  I just realised that the new world files had a different name. Changing the world name, instead on changing the world name, created a new world. i changed the world name back and deleted the new files and everything is back to normal. it had nothing to do with 1.16.  lol strange system
