zombie pigman not attracted to the turtle egg

me and my friend are playing on a minehut server and we needed xp so we built a gold farm and the pigmen aren't attracted to the egg so the farm doesn't work. how can i fix this. or is this a problem with the minehut server its self because it does have lots of problems

The issue could be if your server contains any plugin that allows players from versions before 1.15

Adding on to this, if you have the following plugins:

 

ProtocolSupport

ViaVersion

ViaRewind

ViaBackwards

 

The eggs will mostly likely not work if these plugins are installed.

If you do not have any plugins installed on your server, you may contact support, but for an issue like this, I doubt there would be much they can do. I may be wrong though.
