Considering the answer to your question is 2 minutes and more than 3 messages no they really don't because not spamming is common sense and common decency. Yes Minehut allows advertising, but that is not meant to be the primary function of the lobby chat. It is rude to use ads full of <!> and junk or type it out in all caps because it prevents players from being able to hold a conversation. The time is just a guideline thought don't think you can abuse it either. To be polite advertise 5-10 minutes or so and leave out all the junk flood symbols.

I was just trying to get players, I see your point but I usually only advertise for 2-3 minutes and then I go back to my server, and even so the admin still could've just told me to hold out rather then just muting me for 5 hours .-.

If you also were muted, attempting to speak in chat should show the punishment reason.

Verbal warnings only apply if the user is a first time offender after that the staff owe no more warnings. Look at it from their point of view (I been the guy doing the muting lol) they have to mute so many players (sometimes I would have to mute 30 people in around 7 minutes) don't have to believe me but its true. They can't take the time to yell at every player individuality + they have people in their DMs asking questions the whole time too. So when a verbal warning goes out its for everyone and that warning is good for 10 minutes at max normally.

In my opinion most rules are common sense, and you should know to read the rules when you first join. Yes I know people usually don't and I've had my fair share of punishments from years ago. But if you do happen to get punished for something that does make sense you should of known already.

The main issue is we do not currently have a set definition of a time span that spam can be defined as. Currently, we have our Moderators mute anyone who says the same message 3+ times, and we leave the determination of how long it was between each message to that individual Moderator. Soon in the future, we will have a set time span, but to be safe, if you're unsure if you're spamming, you shouldn't. Say your message once, go to your server, come back in 5 minutes, that's what I recommend at least.

Also if you have a problem with a staff member (I noticed you pointed out fjsu) you should contact a Sr.Mod.
