Regular Vanilla commands not working

Vanilla commands that would work in normal single-player aren't working on my server! I have tested these commands on my server and then my singleplayer world and they don't seem to work, and yes I'm opped if you were wondering, my version is 1.15.2. Some commands do work but more complicated ones haven't like these: /give goofyswoof minecraft:diamond_sword{Enchantments:[{id:sharpness,lvl:1000}]}, also @a, @p,@e etc. Do not work! Please if anyone has a solution please tell me!

Try using /minecraft:give, this is because the plugin 'Essentials' overrides the vanilla commands.
