my world got wiped when we hit the restart button

first before i start this i just want to say that we made sure not to press the reset button but the restart button, as to turn the server off and back on again.

we decided to restart the server and after the server was back online we logged on and it was a totally different seed and all of our playerdata was wiped. can anybody help me recover our old server?

Hello! 

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. Did you by accident go to the Danger zone to restart your server? If so, then I believe that there's nothing anyone can do, as those actions are not reversible (at least not to my knowledge). If not, what did you do prior to restarting the server?
