Maximum View Distance.

Hi there, while im not complaining about having a free MC server provided by Minehut, I am a bit disappointed that the Maximum view distance is only set too 10. This is something to change in the server.properties config in the files, but it seems to be blocked out to not be edited. Im guessing to limit the player numbers so they can make money by providing more player servers. Im wondering why they limit the view distance and if it can be changed to at least 20-25 (32 would be amazing). Or if this is a "premium" feature. Thanks for the help!

Hey there! To get more slots you need credits, and credits is a paid feature, you can get more RAM and slots for paying per day.

I dont care about slots, im specifically talking about "VIEW DISTANCE", like the title of the post suggests...

View distance is limited to 16 on the server-side and won't increase anymore than that. Having a higher view distance will cause some problems with performance too. It's always been safer to set the view distance to 8 or below to prevent issues arising.

Is this still the case for viewing mobs? This string is about 2 yrs old...
