  1. Make sure there are no typos in your name.

If not, then try to delete the whitelist.json file in your server (you can do this by selecting the file in your minehut panel file manager) and then restart the server. Once you've done this make sure to check that the whitelist is still on and try readding your name to it.

If all of the above doesn't work, you could try looking into disabling the default whitelist system (/whitelist off) and making your own with skript. Hope this helps.

  2. To clarify, the events are not flash sales or limited time perks, they're game servers that the Community Event's Team creates. If you need an idea of what this looks like, I'd recommend looking at the other two previous posts.

When playing with friends on the new 1.17 update on minehut it is very very laggy is there anyway to fix this issue?

1.17 Currently uses Spigot instead of Paper. Paper has been proven to be a lot faster than spigot, however paper hasn't released a 1.17 version yet. They announced they were half way done with fixing their code sometime yesterday, so it's best to be patient until then.

We are in a similar situation where we have a backup, but the dashboard doesn't seem to accept it.  We have also been experiencing oddities where the dashboard won't start our server. (The server never starts via dashboard, so there is no log to view).

However, we can start the server via the lobby /join method.  After setting the dashboard to 1.17 and starting from lobby, we were able to start and play our world on 1.17.  However, with the free tier 1 GB of RAM and the current memory issues with 1.17 Spigot, it's not a fun experience to play.

Posted this in general but realized this is a better place.

I updated my server to Spigot 1.17 and created a backup of it on Paper 1.16.5 just in case. The update was laggy for me and the rest of my friends while playing, so we decided to revert back to 1.16.5. I restarted the server and clicked restore server, but then it said "An Unknown Error Occurred" when trying to launch it, and now I can't even open the server/world and I'm scared that I messed everything up even though the backup was made. What happened/what can I do? Every time I or any of my other friends on the server tries to open the world via the Minehut server doing /join, it just sends us back to the lobby. This is the latest log as of trying to open it: https://pastebin.com/BxVWsQUM

It looks like minehut doesn’t allow you to transfer back to 1.16 yet if you’ve updated to 1.17. You can either wait until this gets resolved or you can reset your server. I’m 90% sure backups wont go around this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  5. In your server panel, click the edit server button if you havent already and head to the section that says “settings” and you should be able to change stuff there. You will have to restart your server for any changes to go into effect.

Ok so i asked somebody if i can upgrade my minehut server to 1.17 without the world was reseting. The guy said yes and then i upgraded my world. and now im sad and crying cause my world got deleted so what do i do? im not happy with minehut right now.

tbh I don't think associating minehut with one person's advice is fair

the world is 1.5GB, I don't think i can compress it to 100MB

50mb, not 100. Looks like there isn't much you can do. If you want to save a backup, you can instead use Minehut's backup feature (located on your server panel), but other than that, the chances of you compressing it enough to download are little to none. Sorry.

  8. I'm pretty sure the max file size Minehut allows is 50mb and File.io allows a max of 100mb uploads. Getting another file sharing service won't fix your problem. I would recommend looking into deleting chunks, excess playerdata, and other things to compress your world.

I am having a similar problem, the message in chat says "The server you were on kicked you: Unable to connect to [long string of numbers/letter] Try again later."
We dont know what caused it or how to fix it.

This most likely means the server you're trying to connect to isn't 100% online. Whether it's crashing after starting up or something similar, you should try looking into plugins like skript that could easily cause the server to crash.

If you spawned in too many entities, you may want to run `/kill @e[type=!player]` in console and then try connecting.

Other than that, if the issue still persists, I would recommend making a support ticket.

  10. The minehut admins have mentioned that if you switched your server from 1.16.5 to 1.17, data loss *could* happen. If none of what Tarna has recommended works, you should try seeing if you can rollback your server to an available backup if there is one.
