i was told bedrock and java could play together on minehut servers. the java players can join, but bedrock cant. how can i fix this?

I am hosting a server and I play on Java and I can connect. However, 2 of my friends cannot connect, they play on pocket edition and bedrock, but I was told bedrock, pocket edition and Java could all be on a minehut server.

whenever I try to log in, it says error logging in. I have tried on different devices and browsers, cleared the cache, reset my password, but i still can't log in.

can pocket edition play with java edition on a free minehut server?
