The main concern I have with Umbaska is that the plugin hasn't been added in over 3 years now. I'm not sure if it will work with the latest version of Minecraft (the version Minehut uses).

NoteToSelf seems to be a bit outdated but Notepad seems to be updated still. We'll look into adding that plugin to Minehut. Thanks for the suggestion!

This Week's Updates New Update Highlights New Server Icons This cycle features: Redstone, Iron Bars, Iron Ore, Water Bucket, and Wheat. These are the server icons which are now purchasable at https://www.minehut.com/shop/icons. Every 2 weeks we update the server icons you can purchase! These icons will only be available for a limited time and they won't return for a while. Hurry and purchase some unique icons to make your server stand out from others! Fixes We received some complaints about /download being broken so we worked on it and it should be fixed now. If you're still having any issues with downloading your world or schematic, let us know and we'll take a look into it. MOTD coloring should now be fixed on the panel. Beforehand, some of the colors weren't being displayed properly.

Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to add this plugin. This requires a plugin to be installed on the proxy itself which is something we cannot do.

1. Currently we're unable to support other Minecraft versions but maybe that could be something we could support in the future. Right now though, there's currently no plan to do so. 2. The main issue with adding premium plugins is we need permission from the plugin author first before we are able to add them. This is mainly because anyone on Minehut are able to install plugins added to the plugin list so we would need to get permission first from the developer. 3. Thanks for the suggestions we'll look into them.

I mentioned it in Discord but I'll go ahead and summarize it here again, this plugin hasn't been updated in 5 years now and the latest version it officially supports is 1.8.1. It will most likely not work on Minehut since it's quite outdated and I wouldn't want to add a broken plugin to Minehut.

In terms of Minecraft in general, I started playing PE around 2013/14, and I switched to Java around mid/late 2014 on a public alt that my Mum and Dad bought from eBay. (I didn't know what a public alt was lol, I was pretty young.) This account was banned from a few servers because others had used it for hacking, which I didn't understand at the time. I eventually got fed up with this and decided that I wanted a proper account. So on the 30th of June, 2015, Koronotchi was born (with another name obviously), and I haven't changed account since. I've recently handed in my GCSE options, and they are Computer Science and Triple Science, with History as my required Humanity. Alongside these, I have 2 reserved options, which are GCSE German and BTEC Health and Social Care. My current dream job is a Paramedic, but I've recently been thinking of being a Software Developer instead. In terms of hobbies, I love cycling. I did it every day, to and from school (until it broke), and I've always enjoyed it, regardless of the minor injuries and near misses I've had, that's just cycling for you. I'm also going to be learning Java soon, this is because I want to develop Spigot Plugins in the future, and I'll need a good knowledge of Java to do that. I'm also interested in learning other coding languages, like Python, and JS for Discord Bots. I'm also a handwriting freak, so I practise quite a bit. I play the drums too, and I play Grade 2 pieces. We did just have applications opened up and one of the things we focused on is interviewing people who are from timezones we currently have no coverage in (we're currently interviewing and we're planning on promoting in 2 weeks or so). This is stuff that we are currently are working on improving and we completely understand. We also currently are working on a system to prevent bots and normal players from spamming in the chat so that the lobby chats aren't as bad. Another tool that staff help utilize is we have a Discord bot that automatically notifies us when someone might be breaking rules in the lobby chat and it also outputs the lobby chat right into a channel in our Discord server. If you do notice someone breaking rules and there's no staff on, there's a high chance they will be punished once we do hop on. When you're referring to the lobby chats being chaotic, I honestly feel the main issue is really just the amount of people in 1 lobby chat. Minehut has all the lobby chats synced up, which means we have 8 lobbies all with the same chat. We have over 10k players on Minehut right now with around 400 people in the lobbies (all in 1 lobby chat). Even if there's a staff member online, it's quite difficult to moderate that many players and I feel like sometime in the near future, we should focus on working on a solution to handling that. I'm not sure what that solution could be, but it's something that will have to be discussed.

@Gaminger We have a chat filter that automatically censors out any swears words, and that's going to be implemented in /msg as well. We haven't allowed swearing in the lobbies or /msg for a while now and we've had a chat filter in place for just as long. You would also need to consider the reason why people use Minehut over other server hosts. One of the reasons is because of how easy it is to communicate and advertise to other players to gain players. This is what makes Minehut extremely unique and is a huge reason to use us over competitor hosts. Making it more difficult to chat and advertise your server will make it harder for players to gain a community and lowers their incentive to use us over other hosts. Isn't this exactly what a mute is? If someone breaks the rules, they're usually warned and then muted for a certain amount of time. If they continue to break the rules after their mute expired, the length of their mute is increased if they continue to break the rules. The more severe the punishment is, the longer they are banned from using /msg or from talking in the lobbies. We do currently have rules that we enforce on player servers, though they're quite lenient and limited. The main rules being no reasons about bad topics (like the holocaust, etc), and no griefing other servers. This comes back to my point from above. Minehut doesn't have the full customization and there are some things that aren't possible on Minehut, and controlling the servers even more with rules would limit the control owners have over their server and would further reduce the customization and freedom people have on their player servers. We would lose customers and less people would be interested in using Minehut if we start to enforce rules such as no swearing on player servers.
