I use only a small few set of plugins. It is only for me and a few friends. I have not checked Essentials yet. But this is the last plugin I would need. It is also very easy to use. I'll look into essentials. But am not looking for a complicated setup.

Set Home is a useful plugin that allows users to set multiple homes so that they are able to teleport from a position 1000s of blocks away to a base they may own. Very good plugin when paired with the GriefProtection plugin. People can teleport to each of their bases.
