I loaded the last backup and the server is still incredibly glitchy

so on a server of mine, i was using worldedit to remove some saplings, then the server crashed. when i booted it back up, the chunks stopped loading correctly, i cant drop items properly, animals wont move apart from spinning really fast, and i also can't interact with said animals. I've restarted the server a few times and let it wait for a while, and it is still bugging out. does anyone know how to fix this?
