Mobs aren't spawning in my server, when the difficulty is normal and mob spawning is on. What do I do?

For some reason on my minehut server, I havent seen a mob at all yet. I believe I might've seen one at the start of my server but ever since then, none. The difficulty is set to easy, and on minehut settings, monster spawning is on. And the difficulty on minehut settings is also normal. So what should I do? I've tried searching this up many times, but there were no answers. Please help
