M I N E H U T C O M M U N I T Y F A Q HOW TO INSTALL DYNMAP DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM Introduction to Dynmap: A Google Maps-like map for your Minecraft server that can be viewed in a browser. Easy to set up when making use of Dynmap's integrated webserver which works out-of-the-box, while also available to be integrated into existing websites running on Apache and the like. Dynmap can render your worlds using different renderers, some suitable for performance, some for high detail. Requirements for Dynmap: A Minehut server with a plan. Purchase a plan here. How to install Dynmap: Stop your server. Download the Dynmap jar file here. Open up the Dashboard, navigate to File Manager and upload the jar file to the plugins folder. Head to the Settings tab, and navigate to the Ports section. Under Add port, select TCP. In the Internal Port field, type in 8123. After that, click on Add. With your server stopped, scroll down and click on Force Hibernate and select Yes. Click on the activate button in the Dashboard and wait for the server to start. Once started, navtigate back to the Ports section. Open a new tab in your browser, and type in the IP and External Port listed. You should see Dynmap load. Why is there a time limit? It makes playing much less enjoyable and definitely doesn't make me more likely to pay, it just makes me more likely to switch to another free server host.2 points

I just joined my old pvp world that i have many memories in. It was normal until i put in a recourse pack and restarted the server. When i joined after that it was a new world and everything was lost and the recourse pack didnt even work. I loaded my backup and restarted but it was still the same. I guess it most have autmaticly made a new backup when the new world was created. I only had one backup because you can only have one without paying, so it was the only backup i could load. I have no idea how to fix this now.1 point

i started playing minecraft with my friends again recently on minehut, and because of the update i can’t get onto the server. i understand that we have to wait for geyser, paper and velocity to update and there’s no ETA, but what was the average time of the wait from past updates? im really eager to start playing again and i hate sitting with the unknown. thank you for the help1 point

maybe not MOTD but the join message they get when joined, you could code that in skript but I don't recommend1 point

No ETA. We need Geyser, Velocity, and Paper to all update and be stable first.1 point

I've been trying to downgrade my standard server plan to a starter server plan but then it says "an unknown error occurred" and then the page freezes. The reason I want to downgrade is because I dont want to waste credits on something I join like once month. if you need the server names they are ListShade and ListSenseBox. if someone could help then leave a message!1 point

Anyone who purchased a rank 5 months before the change (March 14th was the update) automatically got a refund. Anyone who purchased a rank 30 days before got 100% refund, anyone 60 days before got a 80% refund, and so on.1 point

In a skript or custom plugin, on join check if the username contains a . and if it does, thats a bedrock user and just cancel the event.1 point

You may be able to contact support @ https://support.minehut.com if you need more than 40GB, however I'm not entirely sure.1 point

You can download plugins from https://www.spigotmc.org and upload them directly to File Manager -> Plugins.1 point

It isn't even four hours anymore. I got kicked after two, which is honestly just unplayable. The entire reason I came here was to have fun with friends, but two hours simply isn't enough to get into the experience and have fun before getting yanked out violently by the limit. To anyone on the staff team reading this, please, do what you can to raise the limit. I'm not asking for it to be removed, I can see why it's there, but seriously, listen to the backlash. There's merit to both sides, and they should both be heard. I think four hours is already pushing the boundaries of people's patience, but two hours? What are we supposed to do with that? And before someone tells me to simply vote and watch ads, I shouldn't have to watch a series of ads and do a few half-hearted votes on random sites that I don't even bother reading because I'm only doing it to get rid of a garbage update every day of the year to be able to have a decent experience. People come to Minehut for the free experiences, there are kids like me just trying to have fun with friends who can't afford to host a server for that, or who don't have the knowledge to set up their own. If you send the free experience down the drain, you're sending plenty of players with it. My dream is that the limit be removed, my hope that it gets raised back to the previous numbers, but my expectations are that this message will be read and completely ignored, alongside the outrage of literally everyone.1 point

Wow! this is complete [REMOVED]. This made me sub to realms in itself, and it's so hard to see how much time you have left/that you had a time limit at all. what a condescending and dismissive message from a mod. you wonder why you guys run at a loss when you make changes like this. have fun losing your ad revenue as all the advertisers see your 80% free player base dissolve.1 point

minehut already has so many options when it comes to making money. ranks, credits, ads, upgradable servers, monthly plans etc... enforcing a LIMIT and completely stopping players from playing on certain servers for a long time period will make them switch to other free server hosters because no one wants to pay for the $5 credit subscription when there are hundreds of other FREE server hosting options. matter of fact I think minehut might lose players and therefore lose money1 point

Hey hey! Please use https://forums.minehut.com/forum/4-general/ instead of the Introduce Yourself topic, it keeps the forums more organized!1 point

Look, I love Minehut. I've spent more time talking to minehut players than my IRL friends. I spend more time on minehut that in real life. But there are some major issues that I feel Minehut and Superleague fail to acknowledge If you are an admin and you would like to respond to this, feel free to drop a comment with your thoughts. This post is not designed to instigate any arguments, this is purely so I can make my voice heard, Any servers mentioned with have their names switched to something random. Chapter One: Minehut's Ad System. While I think Minehut's ad system is good, in the past year or so there have been a number of blunders made by Super League. For instance, when Minehut's ad system was released to the public for the first time. It finally gave people a reason to buy ranks for those sweet Click to join messages and shorter cooldowns. But the sales minehut puts down are insane, 80% off is already a lot of money but 2 months of the sale? All that minehut has done is devalue their own ranks. I can summarise this in one saying: The rich get richer, the poor get poorer The servers that get a lot of money can buy more ranks and buy more patron accounts, but this creates a disadvantage to servers that dont sell mega p2w stuff and cannot afford as many ranks. The ad system was good until the sales, now ad sellers and botters run rampant. Chapter Two: Botters On the topic of botters, minehut seems to be doing nothing about ad botters. It ruins the experience for anyone who plays and makes it impossible to grow a server anymore, as well as make these pump and dump servers richer. While I have heard about a new ad systems coming soon, we dont know if this will even solve this problem at all. Chapter Three: The moderation switch I don't hate the new mods at all, but I feel this change has caused a disconnect between the staff and the community. Before the switch, people knew that the mods on the team were some of the most well known players and most knowledgeable. These mods could give you quick support with any issues that you encountered (that were in their ability to fix). But now, these mods haven't been trained on fixing the issues and aren't able to make that connection between community and staff happen as easily. No hate to the mods, I do respect the effort they put in to the server, but I feel this replacement removes this friendly connections between the staff and community. Chapter Four: The updates I'm focusing on one update, which was the panel, it has become so much more frustrating and overly complicated to use now. The concept of having your plugins and market items together is a good idea, but having to restart your server after every plugin for it to install makes the panel unbearable. This has been called out time and time again by people and there has been no information on anything to get changed. It (probably) wouldn't be a big change to make and it would make the panel so much more user friendly. Conclusion: Minehut just isn't what it used to be, hopefully these issues can be fixed, but It seems that Minehut has moved from Luuke's dream as a community hangout to a quick cash grab for Super League.1 point

1. Zip the world ( On Windows right-click the folder -> Compress to ZIP file ) 2. Select the upload file button on the File Manager, then select the ZIP file and upload it 3. Right-click the file and press Unzip 5. Run /mv import (world name) (environment type) (Environment Types: Normal, Nether, End The name of the world is the name of the folder you unzipped. Make sure it doesn't contain any spaces or special characters) 6. /mv tp (world name)1 point

Howdy, and welcome to Minehut! The default port should work but to be specific, that port is 19132. Unfortunately, I believe that Minehut needs to update on their end to support the latest bedrock version. This should hopefully be fixed soon though. Hope this helps, Jackson1 point

Im pretty sure they despawn when the server shuts down. Me and my friend had a mending villager and despawned. It took a long time to get that villager. So making a survival world is pretty much useless if you have villagers.1 point

Hi everyone. Yesterday we rolled out the largest adjustment we’ve ever made to server plans: Simplified plans with lower prices for the same specs We have renamed server plans and lowered the prices. In addition, later this month, we are opening up ports on all paid server plans so you can use plugins like votifier, voice chat, and others. • Starter Plan (prev Free) remains free and the best way to get started playing and creating on Minehut • Standard Plan (prev MH20) price drops to 600 credits/month (less than $4/month) and the best option for playing with friends • Pro Plan (prev MH75) price drops to 1,800 credits/month (less than $12/month) and is the best option for growing communities • Ultimate Plan (prev MH Unlimited) price drops to 6,000 (less than $38/month) and is the best option for motivated entrepreneurs • Custom Plan remains as-is and offers flexible options to customize RAM, CPU, Disk Space, and other settings • External Server Plan remains as-is and allows you to host anywhere and connect to Minehut • MH35 is being deprecated (currently active plans will remain active) Server Plans: https://app.minehut.com/shop/plans New time limit on free servers (remove the limit with a paid plan) We are rolling out a 4-hour daily time limit on free servers. To remove the limit on a server, upgrade to a paid plan. This was not an easy decision to make, but essential for the future of Minehut. Free servers are very expensive for us to run and we have been operating at an unsustainable loss for a long time. That said, free servers are core to the reason many of you use Minehut and very important to us. Our goal is to find a balance where we create a cap to the cost and resources needed to run free servers so that we can improve specs on free servers, offer the most competitive paid offering, and establish a long future ahead for Minehut. We’ll iterate on the daily time limit from here and we’re exploring controls that give you more control over who can start and join your servers. It also has never been a better time to upgrade to a paid plan or explore community-made servers.0 points

Any server plan removes the time limit. This includes custom plans. Due to this, if you vote every day, you can purchase the Extra Safe backup slots and get the time restriction removed.0 points
