  1. you guys really gotta fix the time limit, your whole customer base hates it and misses the old minehut we used to play on after a long day at school. At least put it back up to 8 hours at the bare minimum so those of us who like to take our time with stuff can do that.

  2. This is so dumb. I just got kicked from my server which I afk in a lot because the time limit bs. We really gotta pay for our playtime now?? and I only get 10 Credits for voting this is bonkers.

  3. Why do we have to pay for a subscription plan now if free servers have been around without a playtime limit over the past few years? Also how much time are we allotted per day without paying for the servers?

  6. minehut already has so many options when it comes to making money. ranks, credits, ads, upgradable servers, monthly plans etc... enforcing a LIMIT and completely stopping players from playing on certain servers for a long time period will make them switch to other free server hosters because no one wants to pay for the $5 credit subscription when there are hundreds of other FREE server hosting options. matter of fact I think minehut might lose players and therefore lose money

  7. I'm sent to the Captcha when trying to join my server or the minehut lobby. Typing in the captcha kicks me with the message "You have been disconnected. Cause: Failed to validate login state. Please try again." This happens regardless of whether the captcha is solved correctly or not, and regardless of whether you run /recaptcha first

  9. Hi everyone. Yesterday we rolled out the largest adjustment we’ve ever made to server plans: Simplified plans with lower prices for the same specs We have renamed server plans and lowered the prices. In addition, later this month, we are opening up ports on all paid server plans so you can use plugins like votifier, voice chat, and others. • Starter Plan (prev Free) remains free and the best way to get started playing and creating on Minehut • Standard Plan (prev MH20) price drops to 600 credits/month (less than $4/month) and the best option for playing with friends • Pro Plan (prev MH75) price drops to 1,800 credits/month (less than $12/month) and is the best option for growing communities • Ultimate Plan (prev MH Unlimited) price drops to 6,000 (less than $38/month) and is the best option for motivated entrepreneurs • Custom Plan remains as-is and offers flexible options to customize RAM, CPU, Disk Space, and other settings • External Server Plan remains as-is and allows you to host anywhere and connect to Minehut • MH35 is being deprecated (currently active plans will remain active) Server Plans: https://app.minehut.com/shop/plans New time limit on free servers (remove the limit with a paid plan) We are rolling out a 4-hour daily time limit on free servers. To remove the limit on a server, upgrade to a paid plan. This was not an easy decision to make, but essential for the future of Minehut. Free servers are very expensive for us to run and we have been operating at an unsustainable loss for a long time. That said, free servers are core to the reason many of you use Minehut and very important to us. Our goal is to find a balance where we create a cap to the cost and resources needed to run free servers so that we can improve specs on free servers, offer the most competitive paid offering, and establish a long future ahead for Minehut. We’ll iterate on the daily time limit from here and we’re exploring controls that give you more control over who can start and join your servers. It also has never been a better time to upgrade to a paid plan or explore community-made servers.

  10. Why is there a time limit? It makes playing much less enjoyable and definitely doesn't make me more likely to pay, it just makes me more likely to switch to another free server host.

  13. I finally figured it out. Step 1 - search %appdata% on toolbar Step 2 - Go to .minecraft and click on saves and make a new folder Step 3 - in minehut server file manager click on world Step 4 - click on all files except region (important - won't work otherwise) and then click download (should pop up on bottom) Step 5 - Once all files downloaded move files to the folder you created file Step 6 - Create a new folder named "region" in that folder Step 7 - Back in file manager click on world - click on region - you have to download in bunches or else it wont work (size to big) - put all those files in that new created folder. All done! you have successfully downloaded your world. Wish Minehut would make it easier

  15. M I N E H U T C O M M U N I T Y F A Q HOW TO INSTALL DYNMAP DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM Introduction to Dynmap: A Google Maps-like map for your Minecraft server that can be viewed in a browser. Easy to set up when making use of Dynmap's integrated webserver which works out-of-the-box, while also available to be integrated into existing websites running on Apache and the like. Dynmap can render your worlds using different renderers, some suitable for performance, some for high detail. Requirements for Dynmap: A Minehut server with a plan. Purchase a plan here. How to install Dynmap: Stop your server. Download the Dynmap jar file here. Open up the Dashboard, navigate to File Manager and upload the jar file to the plugins folder. Head to the Settings tab, and navigate to the Ports section. Under Add port, select TCP. In the Internal Port field, type in 8123. After that, click on Add. With your server stopped, scroll down and click on Force Hibernate and select Yes. Click on the activate button in the Dashboard and wait for the server to start. Once started, navtigate back to the Ports section. Open a new tab in your browser, and type in the IP and External Port listed. You should see Dynmap load. 16. It isn't even four hours anymore. I got kicked after two, which is honestly just unplayable. The entire reason I came here was to have fun with friends, but two hours simply isn't enough to get into the experience and have fun before getting yanked out violently by the limit. To anyone on the staff team reading this, please, do what you can to raise the limit. I'm not asking for it to be removed, I can see why it's there, but seriously, listen to the backlash. There's merit to both sides, and they should both be heard. I think four hours is already pushing the boundaries of people's patience, but two hours? What are we supposed to do with that? And before someone tells me to simply vote and watch ads, I shouldn't have to watch a series of ads and do a few half-hearted votes on random sites that I don't even bother reading because I'm only doing it to get rid of a garbage update every day of the year to be able to have a decent experience. People come to Minehut for the free experiences, there are kids like me just trying to have fun with friends who can't afford to host a server for that, or who don't have the knowledge to set up their own. If you send the free experience down the drain, you're sending plenty of players with it. My dream is that the limit be removed, my hope that it gets raised back to the previous numbers, but my expectations are that this message will be read and completely ignored, alongside the outrage of literally everyone.

  17. "The time limit was introduced because giving out servers for free isn't exactly the most profitable business tactic." So it was introduced without the playerbase in thought and only for an even bigger profitable gain as there are already other optional subscription plans for people who make servers with above 10 players, makes sense, should've seen it coming I suppose, I've had a server with a few friends now for over a year, I've loved it up till now, somehow it feels demoralizing with this new time limit and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. But it was fun while it lasted, will probably still stick around, as we've put alot of time and effort onto the server and it'd be a waste, just won't be the same I suppose.

  18. Wow! this is complete [REMOVED]. This made me sub to realms in itself, and it's so hard to see how much time you have left/that you had a time limit at all. what a condescending and dismissive message from a mod. you wonder why you guys run at a loss when you make changes like this. have fun losing your ad revenue as all the advertisers see your 80% free player base dissolve.

  21. Ok, 4 hours is a crazy, abrupt change. Honestly they would have been better off cutting it down, bit by bit over time (not that I advocate for it, just saying it probably would have been a better move in the long run, at least then the community wouldn't feel like they're getting greedier by the second...). But 4 hours a day after years of being able to play limitlessly for free? Yeah, no one is gonna react to that change well.

  22. Any server plan removes the time limit. This includes custom plans. Due to this, if you vote every day, you can purchase the Extra Safe backup slots and get the time restriction removed.

  23. This is a stupid idea from Minehut. They can make enough money from ranks, ads, payed (and some massive) servers, and they still think that they should treat the free players, who make up about 95% of the community, like absolute ****. It makes no sense. This drives away players from them as a server provider instead of bringing in more and making money to improve the server or to make a tidy profit. This is just greedy, like turning multiplayer Minecraft into a terrible mobile game that exists to line the pockets of its creators, destroying the whole point of the (at least with Java) lack of in-app purchases within the game. As with in Bedrock, it's fine to have in-app purchases, but using them to the point where players literally can't play the game is ridiculous. I'm trying to host a server so that about 16 people can play (not at once it's a free server) and that means there's usually someone online at most times during the day, so this limit means that while some players only play for just 20/30 minutes and some for over an hour or two, no one is allowed to play for longer and progress at all in game because they add up across separate occasions. It's supposed to reset at 8am where I live, and no one is on before then mostly, and it ran out at 4:20 pm. Just over the 8 hour limit. I'd only been on for 30 minutes myself but now I can't play for the entire afternoon. I had finished what I had to do for the day and wanted to relax by playing some Minecraft and I can't because a company - owned by SLG for god's sake - thought they needed even more. A better idea could be to say that individual players can't play the same server for more than 2/3/4 hours, rather than banning everyone - even those who haven't played at all - from playing until the next day. Something else I would like to note is that on Server Plans it just says whether or not it runs 24/7 or not, rather than how long it runs for daily (when it isn't 24/7), which should be changed as I am thinking about (if I absolutely need to) upgrading the server to the MH20 plan, which even then may be worthless as it might just be 1 or 2 more hours, and so a waste of my money.

  24. why dont you just do it like [REDACTED] where the server shuts down if no one is online after 5 minutes or ban afking instead of punishing EVERYONE just because some people AFK

  25. Think about it. Minehut hosts thousands of free servers. They need to make money. I feel it's better to have a limit, than to remove them completely. Also, if you vote every day and buy the $5 credits option and cancel the subscription immediately, you can have your server running 24/7 for 8 months using the 24/7 custom plan, and depending on the other options you may even be able to get it to run longer.

  34. Look, I love Minehut. I've spent more time talking to minehut players than my IRL friends. I spend more time on minehut that in real life. But there are some major issues that I feel Minehut and Superleague fail to acknowledge If you are an admin and you would like to respond to this, feel free to drop a comment with your thoughts. This post is not designed to instigate any arguments, this is purely so I can make my voice heard, Any servers mentioned with have their names switched to something random. Chapter One: Minehut's Ad System. While I think Minehut's ad system is good, in the past year or so there have been a number of blunders made by Super League. For instance, when Minehut's ad system was released to the public for the first time. It finally gave people a reason to buy ranks for those sweet Click to join messages and shorter cooldowns. But the sales minehut puts down are insane, 80% off is already a lot of money but 2 months of the sale? All that minehut has done is devalue their own ranks. I can summarise this in one saying: The rich get richer, the poor get poorer The servers that get a lot of money can buy more ranks and buy more patron accounts, but this creates a disadvantage to servers that dont sell mega p2w stuff and cannot afford as many ranks. The ad system was good until the sales, now ad sellers and botters run rampant. Chapter Two: Botters On the topic of botters, minehut seems to be doing nothing about ad botters. It ruins the experience for anyone who plays and makes it impossible to grow a server anymore, as well as make these pump and dump servers richer. While I have heard about a new ad systems coming soon, we dont know if this will even solve this problem at all. Chapter Three: The moderation switch I don't hate the new mods at all, but I feel this change has caused a disconnect between the staff and the community. Before the switch, people knew that the mods on the team were some of the most well known players and most knowledgeable. These mods could give you quick support with any issues that you encountered (that were in their ability to fix). But now, these mods haven't been trained on fixing the issues and aren't able to make that connection between community and staff happen as easily. No hate to the mods, I do respect the effort they put in to the server, but I feel this replacement removes this friendly connections between the staff and community. Chapter Four: The updates I'm focusing on one update, which was the panel, it has become so much more frustrating and overly complicated to use now. The concept of having your plugins and market items together is a good idea, but having to restart your server after every plugin for it to install makes the panel unbearable. This has been called out time and time again by people and there has been no information on anything to get changed. It (probably) wouldn't be a big change to make and it would make the panel so much more user friendly. Conclusion: Minehut just isn't what it used to be, hopefully these issues can be fixed, but It seems that Minehut has moved from Luuke's dream as a community hangout to a quick cash grab for Super League.

  38. I wonder whether Minehut can make us watch like 3 ads to get 40 credits per day so we can get 1 server up with 2gbs of RAM. Please like or whatever to get the attention of the Minehut Owners, mods, etc.

  40. Minehut is actually EXTREMELY safe they spoof your IP with some server magic so even if someone was to get "your ip" it would just lead back to minehuts server. Also players do not have access to server console so they cannot do that. Also /whois and other similar commands are disabled

  44. hi if you're reading this, i assume you've been playing minehut just fine for like three days. then out of nowhere, your server wouldn't start one day. you'd click the button and nothing would happen. you just spent around a half an hour trying to fix this. you googled "minehut server wont start" and you clicked on every link that showed these forums. all the OPs described the exact issue you're having (some of these are years old, meaning they still haven't fixed this issue after YEARS of it being a thing) all the replies are either assholes telling them to "post in the correct section" or other people saying "i have the same problem" (terrible forum etiquette, you can tell peoples' age and sensibilities, but i guess this post is part of the problem) the people who've had the issue fixed just say "it works now, bye!" and then the thread gets locked. im here to tell you that i only sympathize with you. i dont have an answer. im just as frustrated as you. if you end up finding a fix to this issue, please message me on discord. bobenshi bobsled #0092 if i find a fix, i'll update this post or write a new one. update!! the issue has fixed sort of fixed itself. heres exactly what happened. 1. everything was fine for days then today, my server wouldn't start 2. i googled it, no one had a fix. someone said try force hibernating so i did. 3. i force hibernate 4. i try to activate again, it keeps looping me back the server page that just says "hybernating" 5. i google that now 6. now im here. 7. i got mad, made this post, 8. did something else for like 20 minutes 9. tried activating again 10. it works now this is ridiculous. but yeah, you just gotta wait i guess. if you find a real fix, still message me on discord so i can update this post with the real fix.
